The 42-Inch LG 42LG50 is full HD high definition LCD HDTV. LG is slowly becoming a major player in HDTV market. The LG 42LG50 is one of their best selling models.

HDTV Design
The design is stylish with contured profile edges and beautiful silver chrome accent. This LCD HDTV from LG is pretty slim and is equipped with a swivel stand. Moreover the the “invisible speaker system” looks polished and the audio quality is good.
Picture Quality
The 1080p LG 42LG50 with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p produces excellent pictures. The HDTV got 16:9 aspect ratio and contrast ratio upto 15,000:1 (dynamic). LG also claims that 42LG50 got ISFccc caple of professional calibration for improved picture quality.
Key Features
Other major features of LG 42LG50 include excellent connectivity options with 3 HDMI ports, RGB port and USB Port for PC or laptop connectivity. You can also hookup your home theater to this HDT with optical/ coax, stereo connections.

I own a Panasonic 50 inch plasma which rocks. But I needed a HDTV with PSP3 connectivity and found LG42LG50. Picture quality with PS3 in 1080P are stunningly beautiful and the audio is crisp though the bass is bit lacking. Excellent design and very good connectivity options. I give a 5 star rating.

Excellent HDTV from LG. The blacks in LG 42LG50 looks very deep, and Time Warner cable looks awesome, as do BluRay discs and xbox 360 games. My only complaint is with audio volume. You need to turn it up to maximum if you want to have party blast. I am planning to hook it up with a home theater system soon. Overall I am really satisfied with this LG HDTV
